A Day In The Life (2008-07-31)
- Evaluating some flatfile database alternatives as I think about disk based caching. Txtsql and sqllite come to mind.Need flock discussio … #
- So looking at the performance throughout the day the performance of the Mosso cloud was definitely slower during midday to evening EST. #
- How many from the MA crew will be heading down to PodCamp Philly? Just curious. #
- Today is a good day. Twitter gets integrated into RGB Daily and we get that much closer to launch. Last night visuals really came together #
- @TechCrunch The mouth is the gateway to good health Mike, don’t sleep

- God, it took forever to figure out that 404 performnace bug. I hate web development, its so kludgey. Mosso also seems slow. #

A Day In The Life (2008-07-29)
- Completely drained and tired of looking at code. Going to clean up the house and get outside. Visiting the Y too. #
- Ouch, fixed so nasty typos in my about box on my blog. Must have been really tired when I wrote that up. #
- Think I might have found another serious speed hack for Template Lite. I already provide config caching for the master template… #
- So what about just providing a global static cache for localization files. It all gets loaded so the templates should share it. Big gains. #

Sunset at Spy Pond in Arlington
After a burrito from Anna’s I tooksome time to chill at Spy Pond. Back in the 1800s they use to have icehouses lining the Pond. They would cut ice and send it as far as China and India. Amazing!

A Day In The Life (2008-07-28)
- Going to bed. Finished the first past at a stylized vote counter using the grunge RGB Daily style. Checked in and will integrate tomorrow. #
- Things are looking good. A lot of progress has been made in the last two weeks. Looks like I’m in good shape for an August launch. #
- Just finished reading @chrisbrogan ’s newsletter. I totally agree that podcasting is most relevant when informative, fun not so much. #
- Bright sunny day and time to fix some more UI issues and then head out to the gym. Perfect Pushup has saved me these last couple days. #
- Just sayin’ that the marketing people have sunk their teeth into podcasting and having a lot of tangible success.Maybe that’s the mainstream #
- I think maybe the more entertainment stuff isn’t podcasting/vloging. Maybe its just cool A/V online.Don’t put yourself in a box. #
- Then again its whatever iTunes says it is from a categorization perspective. Distributon will always matter if its suppose to pay bills. #

A Day In The Life (2008-07-27)
- Cleaning up some serious bugs related to the main nav system. #
- Knocked out the JS and server side tweaks for the master mavigation. Really pleased with the AJAX goodness. Good processing performance. #
- I need to start to using the bug tracker again to manage myself. Been kicking ass and taking names, butt need to stay on track. #
- The fact that MySpace doesn’t use SEO friendly urls was a big relief. I won’t be able to get that done before launch. #
- So it loks like Rosie’s alternator is indeed shot. Gonna have to head to the VW dealer tomorrow. #

A Day In The Life (2008-07-25)

- Fixed a couple of image resizing bugs and the Thickbox now does the right thing for small images. Still need to figure out image caching. #

A Day In The Life (2008-07-24)
- Yikes! From 2-3s response times down to 0.5s response times using file based resource caching. Looks like parsing even one time is more … #
- sed interpreter. #
- Time to start optmizing the CSS/JS finally. #
- Need to make performance the top priority before wrapping up the functionality. Even what I have now is fine as long as its fast. #
- Lazy start to the day. Went to the co commons in Waltham for a mocha and bagel. Now I’m cleaning up the CSS/JS optimizations. #

A Day In The Life (2008-07-23)
- Valvoline retapped my oil drain plug. That was cool of them considering they were responsible for damaging it. It was cool to see them … #

A Day In The Life (2008-07-22)
- Really beat at the gym and after. Going to have some soup and get back in the swing of things. Really slow work day too. #
- Having breakfast at a cool Cape inspired seafood joint in Wellesley. Don’t remember the name of the place, but will take a picture later. #
- Why am I in Wellesley, getting the VW checked out before I sell it. #
- Is it just me? I think the HTC Touch Pro has got to be the ultimate dream phone for WinMobile heads. #
- Captain Marden’s Place was the name of the joint, not bad. The maple walnut butter was a nice touch on the short stack. #
- Now a little coffee from the evil empire before settling up in VW for free Wi-fi. #
- Completely crap day on the dev front. Spent all of my time getting my car in order and its still not done. #
