A Day In The Life (2009-11-07)

  • for everyone curious as to when @rgbdaily will launch I have the following… #
  • The code base has never looked better: new clean unified theme and critical performance enhancements #
  • We have partnered with @postrank to provide highly relevant content for the @rgbdaily community at launch #
  • So what is the hold up on @rgbdaily? We are just fixing our Twitter integration to better align with how the entire system operates now. #
  • For example, we have moved from basic authentication to OAuth which is more secure and robust. Other enhancements will be announced soon #
  • In general, @rgbdaily takes a Blizzard/Bank style strategy when it comes to software dev. We release when it's DONE. #
  • The Internet is still very young and there will be a ton of turn over. We are building a long term business. We are not a one trick pony. #
  • An obvious point to everyone at this point. The financial markets is about the flow of money. The Web is about the flow of content. #
  • The most unevil thing Google has done in the last 30 days was integrating RSS into its crawler, validating and protecting syndication #

  • Against my better judgment I'm adding Twitter OAth authentication for integration instead of just launching :( #
  • Having a pretty good time kicking the tires on Twitter OAuth #
