So had a good time with the first day at PodCamp Boston. I need to decide if I’m going to go to the partyfor tonight at 7. I’m a little beat. Below are a few snapshot from the day.
PodCamp Boston
Have a meal with some friends…
Social Media Best Practices?
Engage Challenge your Audience Listen to what.s going on; find the conversations Vendor Relationship Management vs CRM; customers have choice. Who’s doing it well? Zappos is doing well. Big brands aren’t doing that well. Not going to happen at Ford or GM. Comcast Cares comes up a lot, got to look at what they are getting into. Greg Verdino, Doug Haslam, Adam Broitman, and Philip Robertson on the panel.
First session at PodCamp Boston
I’m listening to Steve Robbins at my first session for the conference. Got up a little late because I went to see a late show of “Wanted”. Anyway, Steve is talking about grabbing hold and building a faithful audience. I’ll be taking crappy photos all day about the sessions I ‘m in. I’m not really here to promote more than just to be present and socialize. Its summer time and I’m here to have fun.
A Day In The Life (2008-07-17)
- The contractors finished installing the windows before noon. Very fast and they look great; that much closer to a warm winter. #

- Working on using Minify to decrease the amount of request on a page. Even with caching conditional GETs still add to seconds. #
- Taking a break and visiting TechCrunch. Avoided blog reading today and just coded and did research. Performance and security improvements! #
- Learned a lot about locking down Apache, wrangling caching, and currently fooling around with Minify js. #
- @techCrunch Great monetization questions for Williams. My take is that they are avoiding valuation limiting revenue until the homerun. #
A Day In The Life (2008-07-14)
